Founded by Alison Davies and Scott Shelmerdine, Diverse Active Living provides inclusive, person-centred support for adults in Manchester and Trafford. We help individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries, and other additional needs live independently while feeling connected and valued.
Since 2016, we have supported adults with dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries and additional needs across Manchester and Trafford. Our approach is built on genuine relationships, consistent staffing and a deep commitment to each person's wellbeing.
Founded in 2016 by Alison Davies and Scott Shelmerdine, we have spent nearly a decade building trusted relationships with individuals, families and local authorities across Greater Manchester.
We support adults with a wide range of needs — including dementia, learning disabilities and brain injuries — in a warm, non-institutional environment where everyone feels valued and included.
Our team gets to know every person as an individual. Familiar faces, consistent routines and genuine relationships make a real difference to wellbeing and confidence.
